CAZAYOUX + JARON MARSHALL (JUNE 2023)

CAZAYOUX is a multinational band from Austin, Texas founded by drummer Forest Cazayoux. Since its inception in 2020, the band has quickly become a favorite among fans of psychedelic funk, afrobeat, and jazz. With members hailing from countries including the United States, Mexico, and West Africa. CAZAYOUX offers a unique and exciting performance each time they take the stage.

JaRon Marshall, keyboardist and collaborator for Grammy-nominated band Black Pumas, steps into the spotlight as beatmaker and producer with solo music, which he calls “the marriage between jazz and hip-hop.”

GIRL ULTRA + FOUDEQUSH (MARCH 2023)

Girl Ultra is the musical project of Mexico City-based artist Mariana de Miguel, whose sparkling R&B cuts shine from start to finish. Inspired by nostalgia for the late 90s, and 2000s, Girl Ultra has moved through different textures, alternative sounds, and genres — including house, UK garage, and rock — across a host of albums. She’s been featured on the Berlin-based internet show Colors and performed for NPR’s “Tiny Desk” series.

BUFFALO HUNT (FEBRUARY 2023)

Recorded under the moniker Buffalo Hunt, Ambitions of Ambiguity, the solo debut by Austin-based singer-songwriter Stephanie Hunt, is the sort of record that’s easy to love on first listen—a modern, seamless blend of psychedelic pop, Laurel Canyon-style songcraft and midcentury honky-tonk touches. But it’s also music to spend time with. Featuring performances and production by some of the brightest talents of the current Texas scene—the stunningly versatile Texas Gentlemen; Hunt’s fiancé, the acclaimed singer-songwriter Shakey Graves; and drum great McKenzie Smith, to name a few—Ambitions of Ambiguity touts many, many musical and sonic layers; to say it another way, this is a take-a-puff-and-put-on-the-headphones kind of singer-songwriter record. Hunt’s lyrics, which frequently and cleverly upend your expectations or surprise you with metaphor, follow suit.
